Kyle Skattum (he/him/his)

Internship Coordinator

Kyle comes from a background in Social Work and completed his Bachelor of Social Work at Colorado State University, Fort Collins in 2021. Kyle has previously worked for SAME Cafe, Denver Public Schools Homeless Education Network, and Denver Human Services. Kyle most recently worked for Urban Peak Denver as the Education Coordinator, where he worked with youth experiencing homelessness to engage them in GED, High School, and Post-Secondary education while ensuring that their basic needs were being met. While at Urban Peak, Kyle worked to build partnerships with several community-based education and employment organizations to ensure Urban Peak youth had access to a wide range of wrap-around resources to assist them in meeting their goals. 

Kyle is passionate about service to others and advocating for the most oppressed people in our community. This passion has guided his work as a social worker and will continue to guide his work as he begins at RiseUp. 

Aside from work, Kyle enjoys fly fishing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, playing hockey, attending Hard Core music shows, and spending time with his family and Dog, Skip.
