What is Your Why?
I believe that all people are inherently good and are doing the best they can with the level of awareness they have. Growing up, I saw firsthand the negative impact mental illness can have, and also saw that it does not have to be an individual’s destiny. Because of that, at RiseUp I provide unconditional positive regard to students. I support students with working through trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and unconscious programming, not mental illness.
