Sonya Palafox

Sonya Palafox, a Denver native, earned a Master of Arts in Counseling from Regis University. She brings 12 years of experience as a counselor for high school students with a break in their education, immigrants, refugees, and teen parents. She has worked in the fields of education and mental health within diverse communities. A graduate of North High School, Sonya was selected as a Daniels Fund Scholar and attended The University of Denver where she majored in International Business. Sonya, who is fluent in Spanish, has extensive experience in multicultural counseling, working with families from over 43 different countries. As a licensed professional counselor, she has provided individual and in-home therapy to children, adolescents, and their families. Her primary focus is assisting high school students in a successful transition to graduation and life after high school.
